Statement
The Blackwater Wildlife Refuge, located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, just 12 miles south of Cambridge, attracts photographers from across the region with its diverse bird species and abundant wildlife year-round.
For me, the most captivating aspect of the refuge lies in the beautiful simplicity of its landscapes. As a landscape photographer, I find endless inspiration in its blend of lowlands, marshes, sparse decaying woodlands, and expansive shallow waters. These elements transform into something magical when bathed in the soft golden light of sunrise or sunset. Even unassuming details, like old decaying stakes reflected in the water, become graceful and compelling subjects under this warm, natural light.
Over the years, these serene and evocative landscapes have provided countless opportunities for creative expression, forming the heart of this visual project.
Print Information
All my photographs are available as prints in various sizes and framing options. I personally handle the printing process, using archival-quality inks and papers to ensure longevity and vibrancy. For framed prints, I also use archival mats to preserve the artwork.
